Emergency & Same-Day Care — Century City dental care
Overview

When it can't wait until next week.

Dental emergencies don't keep business hours. Severe toothache, a cracked or knocked-out tooth, a lost filling or crown, or facial swelling all need prompt attention — both to relieve pain and to protect the tooth.

Century Smile Maker welcomes same-day emergency visits. If you're in pain or have had an injury, call us right away. Quick action often makes the difference between saving and losing a tooth.

Our approach

Call first — minutes matter.

For a knocked-out permanent tooth, handle it by the crown (not the root), gently rinse it, and if possible place it back in the socket or in milk — then get to us immediately. The first hour matters most.

For pain or swelling, don't wait it out. Swelling that spreads is a sign of infection that needs prompt care. A quick call lets us advise you and get you seen the same day.

Common questions

Frequently asked.

Severe toothache, a knocked-out or broken tooth, significant swelling, bleeding that will not stop, or a lost filling or crown all count as emergencies. If you are in pain or unsure, call us and we will help you decide what to do next.
Pick the tooth up by the crown, not the root, gently rinse it, and if possible place it back in the socket or in a cup of milk. Then call us immediately, because reimplanting within the first hour offers the best chance of saving it.
Rinse with warm salt water, use a cold compress on the outside of your cheek, and take over-the-counter pain relief as directed. Avoid placing aspirin directly on the gum, and call us so we can get you in quickly.
Yes. We welcome new and emergency patients and do our best to see you the same day. Call our Century City office and we will get you scheduled as soon as possible.
